Projects Overland is a community-focused organization dedicated to creating lasting impact through volunteer service and professional outreach. We connect passionate interns, volunteers, and skilled professionals with underserved and vulnerable communities, offering support and expertise. We have been leading participants in government projects in Tanzania including: Eastern Africa Clean Cooking Symposium 2025, and The Tanzania Midwives Association (TAMA) report, which have contributed to the advancement of health and inclusive economic progress across the Eastern Africa region.
ACCOMODATION
Welcome to your home away from home! This colonial-style villa serves as the HQ for Projects Overland volunteers and interns. It’s a space that perfectly blends grand architecture with the relaxed, tropical vibes of an African retreat. The main house is an impressive two-story villa featuring a classic white façade, striking columns, and a large front portico. A manicured red-tiled walkway leads you through lush green lawns and palm trees, giving the entire property an air of elegance and security. This hostel provides more than just a bed; it offers a beautiful, communal environment where you can recharge and build lasting friendships with your international peers.
Beneficiaries
Over the years, Projects Overland has hosted over 1,000 medical interns and successfully conducted more than 10 medical outreaches. We have previous professional engagement with law interns from Harvard University, through interaction facilitated by the African Court of Human and Peoples’ Rights. Université Laval in Canada has sent both medical and dental interns, strengthening our capacity in healthcare service delivery. Boston University has supported our work by sending community health interns, further enhancing public health initiatives.

Government Collaboration
The Tanzania Midwives Association (TAMA) report, compiled by Projects Overland, captures the critical role of midwives in maternal and newborn
healthcare in Tanzania. The report covers the International Day of the Midwife celebrations held on May 5, 2024, at the Julius Nyerere International Conference Centre in Dar es Salaam.
